October 12th, 2015
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and local businesses — including all of us here at The Whitney — are doing our part to help put an end to this disease. Through the end of October, every Bozzuto apartment community is participating in Paint Our Town Pink, our campaign to help raise breast cancer awareness.
During this campaign, we'll be collecting donations as part of Susan G. Komen's fundraising program, Passionately Pink. So bring your loose change down to the office The Whitney, or if you prefer, make your donation online. Either way, your money will go toward funding breast cancer research and local breast cancer support initiatives! We also ask you to join us in wearing pink every Wednesday. Be sure to upload your pink ensembles to social media with the hashtag #paintourtownpink!
Suburban Hospital is partnering with a number of Bethesda businesses to do their part, as well. Through the end of the month, the Bethesda shops, salons, and restaurants Ira Ludwick Salon, Not Your Average Joe's, Just Perfect Collection, and Belina Boutique will donate a portion of their proceeds to the Oncology Patient Navigator program. This philanthropic program provides free support to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients.
