Summer is becoming more and more of a distant memory, but that doesn't mean you can't find fresh, seasonal produce near The Whitney. In fact, the Bethesda Central Farm Market makes locally sourced, farm-fresh produce accessible to area residents year-round!

The flagship market of Central Farm Markets, a locally owned operative with three area markets under its umbrella, the Bethesda Central Farm Market was founded in 2008 and is now the largest market in the region. More than 60 local farmers and purveyors congregate at Bethesda Elementary School's parking lot every Sunday, bringing with them a veritable bounty of just-picked produce and gourmet fare. The list of vendors promises everything from artisan cheese and farm-bottled milk to organic meats and veggies, baked goods, made-to-order crepes, and live Maine lobsters. Gifts and kitchen implements, such as handmade cutting boards, handcrafted soaps, and soy wax candles, are also on offer.

Planning on stopping by this weekend, The Whitney? You can preview the goods for sale via the Bethesda Central Farm Market Facebook page!
