Visit BrickHaus for Modern German Fare and Great Beer

BrickHaus in Arlington is a Germanic-inspired beer garden serving locally brewed beer and classic pub fare in a historical setting. The tap list is extensive and includes at least four German beers as well as a rotating selection of 20 beers brewed no more than 250 miles from the pub. Pair your drink with one of their small plates, large plates, sandwiches, or salads. Yelpers love the Kartoffel Tots topped with beer cheese, bacon, sour cream, and green onions and the Bratwurst served in a pretzel bun with sauerkraut and Dijon mustard. BrickHaus also offers fun events, like Yoga Happy Hour for $15, which includes a one-hour yoga class and beer.

Built in 1902, it is the oldest standing building on Columbia Pike, and the pub highlights many of the space’s original elements, such as the marble floor (which was once a bank lobby), exposed beams of the roof, and the 50s-era pin-up wallpaper discovered in the men’s restroom. The bar is also built on the foundations of the old vault. BrickHaus is open daily for lunch, dinner, and late night eats.
