Located in the lobby at the Hirshhorn, Dolcezza is one of DC’s favorite new locally owned coffee shops. The space itself is modern and sleek, and since it’s designed by artist Hiroshi Sugimoto, the space is lined with futuristic brushed mental and expressive light sculptures.
The menu remains pretty standard, so you can be sure to find your favorite drinks: drip and pour-over coffee, along with espresso and hot tea are the staples at this place. Reviewers point out that there’s also much more to love about Dolcezza. The atmosphere simply can’t be beat, and it’s a popular place to grab something quick to eat while you’re on the go — try the ham and cheese croissant if you want a savory snack, or go for a traditional pastry if you’ve got a sweet tooth.
