Channel Your Inner Chef at Jaleo Bethesda’s Tapas Cooking Class

If you love the food at Jaleo, you’re in luck! This summer they’ve brought back cooking classes, so you can learn to make some of the dishes you love right in your own kitchen. Next up is the Tomatina Festival Tapas class hosted right at the restaurant on Woodmont Avenue, taking place from 6-9 p.m. on Aug. 27. Whether you have a die-hard foodie in your life who loves these types of events, want to do something new for a girls ‘night out, or take date night up a notch, this class is for all levels and groups.

Starting with a cava (Spanish sparkling wine) toast to celebrate the evening, you’ll be greeted by tapas plates while the class gets started to hold you over until your masterpiece of a meal is done. You can bet that this class will be all about tomatoes, as it’s themed after La Tomatina. La Tomatina is a Spanish festival best described as a “food fight festival” where tomatoes are thrown left and right. Don’t worry – there won’t be any food fight involved in the cooking class, just great food. Buen Provecho!
