Don’t let the end of summer mean the end of visits to your local parks. Cabin John Regional Park has a Friday Night Campfire and Walk planned for 6:30-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22 to take in the frosty scenery under the light of the moon, and then enjoy a fire and snacks to warm your bones. Attendees will congregate at the Locust Grove Nature Center for the evening walk, and be accompanied by one of the park’s expert naturalists for an easy hike under the cover of dark. Once you get a unique look at the park at night, gather ‘round the fire for s’mores and more interesting tales about the history of the area. You can even bring your own hot dogs or other snacks to warm over the open flame.
The Friday Night Campfire & Walk is just $8 (all ages) and you can reserve your spot now on the Montgomery Parks website.
